Introducing Eeyore! This low-key house hippo came to us from our friends at Boston Animal Care and Control after being found as a stray. Big thank you to PLR adopters turned fosters Stephannie and Joe for giving this stocky potato a soft spot to land. Eeyore came to us in rough shape. He was found to have a heart murmur as well as a severe eye injury. Our incredible friends at the MSPCA assisted us in planning his higher risk surgery- considering both his bulldog airway and heart murmur- to ensure he was as safe as possible. In a true Disney happy ending, he pulled through with flying colors! Eeyore is currently healing up beautifully in his fosters home and doesn’t seem any worse for the wear as a single eyed donkey. This low riding boy is just as mellow and slow moving as his namesake! His ideal form of exercise consists of a short leash walk followed by long snuggles with his humans or four-legged brother. He is happiest when he has a soft stuffed toy that he can suckle the leg of. This little love does great in a crate and loves car rides! Have we mentioned how much of an easy keeper he is?   Eeyore’s ideal family is one that understands the unique medical needs of a bulldoggy boy. He says yes please to both canine and feline siblings and really just wants to ensure that he has a soft couch to cuddle up on.
