Meet Sam! This 5-month old loveable linebacker came to us from local animal control after being surrendered by an owner who wasn’t taking very good care of him. Sam is the cutest stubby-legged garden gnome who led a fairly sheltered life in a house with many other dogs, crated much of the time. Because of his past, he is playing catch up on his motor and social skills, strength, and stamina.

Sam is a seriously perfect puppy! He is one of the most laid back puppies we’ve ever met, who gets an A++ for behavior and has been great with dogs, cats, and kids. This gawky pup is little and big all at the same time and reminds us of a loaded baked potato on teeny-weeny toothpick legs (with clumsy paws to boot!). Sam does great with the older kids in his foster home, but the young ones make him a touch nervous. And because Sam gains so much confidence from his bully foster sister, we think he would thrive with the right resident dog. They don’t get better than this!
