Meet Barkley! This 5-year old steel gray wonder came to us from local animal control after he was found as a stray. Sweet Barkley was held for a 4 month quarantine for a wound of an unknown origin, where he was a staff favorite. This massive (82-lb) man is an extremely social and friendly dude who wants nothing more than to be close to his people and is a H.U.N.K.!!! With his amber eyes and his meaty paws, we are head over heels in love! His steel grey coat is sooo unique and looks grey, chocolate, or black depending on the light. Barkley photographs with an unexplained intensely, since he is actually oh-so-soft and snuggly in person. Though large in size, Barkley jumps up with the most dainty of paws to be close and is incredibly tender and loving.  And unlike his name, this gentle giant isn’t a barker at all. He has been working on basic training in his foster home and they are smitten with him in every which way and are falling more and more in love with every day that passes. Though Barkley has been terrific with every single dog he’s met, big and small, he is a bit too excited around cats, so has said no thanks to feline friends. Due to his size and lack of history, older kids would be best for this full-size snugglepus.
