A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…

Princess Leia came to us through a local shelter as a verrrrrry prego mama pup. Within days, a Star Wars litter was born into our rescue by this loving and doting mama dog, who just might be dog mom of the year. We knew right away that the force was strong in this awesome mama, and that at only 42-lbs, she was small, but mighty. This sweet peach (and supreme invader of personal space) loves walks in the neighborhood or the woods, car rides, massages, cuddling, and most of all food! And those Yoda-inspired ears make her extra special. The best thing about Princess Leia is that she fiercely loves all people and has never met a stranger. And she hasn’t met a human who hasn’t adored her in return – she seems to have a fan club wherever she goes!

Though so many humans have repeatedly done her wrong, this sweet mama bear has persevered, is an incredible dog, and is looking for a family all her own to love her unconditionally. She is an appropriately active young dog who would make a great addition to a lucky family and would shower them with heaps of love for all her days. Leia is living in a home with other large dogs, and though she seems to genuinely love them, she doesn't quite know what to do with them. Because of this, and the fact she has said no thanks to kitties and other small critters, we think she would do best as a singleton. She has more than enough love to give (and then some!). Due to her exuberant young age and lack of history, older kids would be best for Leia.
