Meet Grover! This pint-sized clown came to us from our friends at local animal control after being found as a stray. Grover is the most adorable beagle mix, and is the littlest nugget at only 37 lbs. But he wasn’t a fan of shelter life and was usually found hiding in the corner of his kennel shaking. He is definitely thrilled to be in his foster home! In fact, within 24 hours, Grover had turned into the wiggliest, happiest little boy, exuding pure joy about all that life has to offer, no matter how seemingly mundane. You see, everything about being in a home seems new to him and he is reveling in being cared for, surrounded by love. He is delightfully playful and has been sniffing up a storm (no corner of house or yard has been left untouched by his schnoz). We suspect G-man wasn’t “allowed” to be a puppy when he was young, so he’s making up for lost time with his innocence and spirited puppy-like antics. Grover loves playing with the dogs in his foster home (but can find his kitty siblings a little too interesting on occasion) and is an excellent lap dog. In fact, he comes to life whenever another dog or human enters the picture. He loves, loves, loves people! He loves to be close and craves attention through physical touch. Grover would love a canine sibling with some similar energy to burn who would appreciate daily playtime or regular playdates with a compatible pooch. With his soft pendant ears flopping around and his deep and soulful brown eyes, Grover is one handsome man! This tiny gentleman adores treats and takes them with the softest lips. He is a wonderful, loveable, furry pup with a huge heart. We think his ideal home is someone looking to love hard and be loved harder in return. Someone who is patient and will give Grover the time that he needs to acclimate to a new place, enveloping him in a cocoon of tenderness to make him feel safe for all of his days. Because of his lack of history, older kids would be best for this brindle beauty.
