It is the easiest way to start the communication and adoption process. Meet Louie! This 8-month old loveable and loyal lad came to us from Boston Animal Care and Control after his owner could no longer care for him. Louie is low key guy who is getting used to new experiences in his foster home. Loud noises, sudden or quick movements, and unexpected shadows can be scary to a sensitive boy like Louie so it’s important that his forever family commit to taking things slow. He can be timid outside at times and may bark at unfamiliar noises, but he has made great strides at building his confidence with his foster family. And like any sensitive spirit, he physically needs to be close to his humans (we suspect he was professional cuddler in a past life!). He gives and receives love freely and has the cutest wiggle butt when he sees his human friends. Louie really enjoys the car, chewing on nylabones, and daily enrichment (the lickmat with xylitol-free peanut butter is a favorite). Louie is sleeping through the night and working on his house training in his foster home. He is an old soul trapped in a young body, so while he enjoys quiet walks, napping is still his favorite hobby. Louie’s perfect “forever” would be a family of homebodies living in a quiet neighborhood. People who weren’t dramatically affected by the pandemic, since their lifestyle put them at home most of the time anyway. He would be much more content snuggling up on the couch than hiking the day away or hosting a dinner party for 50. He is currently doing great with his canine and feline siblings, though he craves human connections the most. Due to his size and lack of history, older kids would be best for this docile and debonair pupper.More about LouieGood with Dogs, Good with Cats www.pittieloverescue.org Please consider a donation so that we may continue the important work we do.
