Ms. Evie!!! This soft and affectionate girl came to us needing 2 surgeries to repair ACL tears in both rear legs. She will be unavailable for the months it will take for her to recover and heal. But we are so excited there are brighter days for her ahead. Evie is such a happy girl. She is settling into her foster home and shows extreme happiness whenever her humans walk through the door. She has a serious helicopter happy tail and sometimes makes cooing sounds with a ball in her mouth ready to play, though with her physical limitations, her fosters are the ones that are fetching the ball for her when she drops it off the couch. She loves squirming around on her back with glee and loves, loves, loves attention. And she smiles with her tongue out – how adorable is that?! Evie has the softest coloring with her muted fawn and white velvety coat. Her quirky ears and that soft grey eye patch make her a uniquely gorgeous creature. Evie might have some beagle in her (j/k!) as she lets out a quick howl here and there and is a semi-professional sniffer! Nose to the ground almost every second she's outside or in a new room investigating. Evie loves her siestas and curls up next to her humans to take quick power naps. But she’s no couch potato…just resting up for what comes next. She runs around in a circle outside, which is enough to make anyone dizzy. We think she may be a Crossfitter, ‘cause her upper body strength is super jacked to compensate for her leg injuries. She pulls herself up on the couch and bed with her front legs and the back ones follow. She also scoots herself around with her front legs to change position, which is heart breaking to watch. She's a trooper for sure and seems to have adapted with her leg situation, though her first surgery date is coming soon! Although Evie is unavailable for adoption until she has recovered from both surgeries, we will be posting updates here.
