It is the easiest way to start the communication and adoption process. Meet Marshmallow! This 8-month old sweet and sugary confectionary delight came to after her owners could no longer care for her. Marshmallow is a velvety soft and fluffy treat…infinitely adorable, with the cutest chocolate chip freckled nose in town. And those ears! They actually have a mind of their own and are spectacular in every sense of the word! Marshmallow is hearing impaired, but that doesn’t stop her from achieving a whole new level of awesomeness. She is quickly learning hand signals (and manners!) in her foster home. At 8-months old, this magnificent mini marshmallow is very puppy-like and appropriately curious and energetic for her young age. She loves soft plush toys and will gladly be your shadow. Marshmallow is also an ooey gooey L.O.V.E.R., making sure she knows exactly where everyone is at all times and looking for toasty snuggles on chilly nights. Marshmallow is dog- and cat-friendly, though she’d love a human to be her main squeeze…the cupcake to her fabulous marshmallow cream frosting. Marshmallow peacefully co-exists with the resident dog and cat in her foster home, but is more of a people-oriented dog. While she would be terrific living in a home with another dog, she definitely wants her best friend to be of the human variety. Because of her hear impairment, Marshmallow’s recipe for success would be a family with older or no kids. Marshmallow is so darn sweet, it’s almost criminal, but young kids startling a hearing impaired dog or accidentally letting her outside unleashed could have serious consequences. Marshmallow’s family would need to stay committed to continuing her training, which would be a joy since she is so eager to learn (and spend time with those she loves). A fenced yard would be ideal for her safety as well. Deaf dogs are absolute gems, but it will take a little extra preparation on the part of her adopter to understand her needs ahead of time.More about Marshmallow n/ TonksGood with Dogs, Good with Cats www.pittieloverescue.org Please consider a donation so that we may continue the important work we do.
