Adoption Fee: $375 Our information is current if you are interested please fill out an adoption form here http://www.pittieloverescue.org/adoption-application It is the easiest way to start the communication and adoption process. Nora was hit by a car and suffered a complete tibia and fibula fracture in her rear leg and lung contusions/damage from the impact. She was surrendered at the veterinarian (her first vet visit ever) after everyone understood the severity of her injuries, as her owners could not pay for treatment. Because of the lung damage she sustained from the trauma, she developed respiratory issues was in and out of an oxygen tank while she stabilized enough for further treatment. We are happy to report that Nora is out of the hospital and settling into her foster home! Nora’s rear leg was amputated once she was stable enough for surgery, but it hasn’t slowed her down (and she’s definitely the cutest tripod around)! In true pittie fashion, Nora has wagged, wiggled, and given the best smooches despite the extent of her accident and injuries. In fact, it’s hard to get a picture of this sweet gal when she is awake…she doesn’t stand still! She is very sweet and lively, and just wants to run around. Nora is appropriately curious for her young age – she tries to chase every leaf that blows by. And Nora is definitely a chewer! She loves a good nylabone and loves to play with her toys, too. Most of all, Nora loves people. She can be a bit anxious when she is left alone, but this behavior is likely due to her change in environment and the trauma she experienced with the accident and hospitalization. She is friendly to everyone and wiggles her little body like crazy when she meets new human friends. She enjoys pushing her big head into your chest and rolling around. She has been reasonably restricted while she heals, with controlled leash walks outside to keep up strength in her remaining leg and is getting stronger every day! Nora is proof of the resilience and love of this amazing breed. Nora is a Velcro dog and we think she would be most successful where she could be close to her people for quality snuggles. In other words, on the couch, in bed at night, you get the point. J While she was reported to have lived with cats, she has been a bit too intent with the cats in her foster home, so for now says no thanks to feline friends. Because of her size and lack of history, older kids would be best. And since she slipped out the door at her previous home (that’s why she was hit by a car in the first place), we think a secure fence would be the safest bet for Nora.More about Nora n/ KimchiGood with Dogs, Not Good with Cats www.pittieloverescue.org Please consider a donation so that we may continue the important work we do.
