It is the easiest way to start the communication and adoption process. Meet Oscar....Just look at that face!!!!! The perfect mix of calm and playful. Oscar is a self proclaimed couch potato! However, the moment he is prompted to play with his toy, go outside or, his favorite, go for a walk he is ready to go with excitement. Oscar is house trained, with very few accidents, and getting better each day. Oscar still needs some work on leash, pulling with excitement in the beginning and slowly winding down to tension on the leash, with re-direction. He knows basic commands (sit, give paw, lay down). We are working on "stay" for feeding and door manners, which Oscar is doing great! He has the potential for many, many more tricks due to his eagerness for treats and his undivided attention! Oscar is all about his nose, and his goofy personality shines when food is introduced. Oscar would do best in a home with another dog who likes to play and romp around. He really needs a buddy with energy that will snuggle up next to him! Oscar has great food manners with both other animals and humans. He has done great with the two cats in his foster home. Oscar has been well behaved during introductions, just curious. If given the opportunity Oscar will give chance, although bouncing in his most playful manner. Needless to say the cats still need some time to warm up to playing, but they have been caught sleeping side by side on more than one occasion!
