Spankee came to us from Animal Control in MA. They loved him so much that they kept him for eight weeks (AC dogs usually have only 10 days to be claimed, if not... they are put to sleep) in hopes of placing him themselves. The very caring Animal Control Officer called us for help. A super sweet boy, approx. a year old. Very unusual White Sable coat. We think he is mostly a Hound Dog with a tiny bit, possibly, pit bull mixed in. He is on the small side at approx. 45 lbs. He slept with kittens while at the animal control facilty. Treated them like they were his babies. How sweet is that? Good with children preferably over the age of 10, because he does jump and may knock little one's over. Great with other dogs but would do best with a docile female. Loves to ride in the car. LOVES to play ball in the yard. He will bring the ball back to you, but he likes you to throw it again quickly because he cannot wait to run, run, run. Will cuddle anywhere with you. He knows how to sit, give paw and speak on command. Foster Momma Kelly, is still working on down and roll-over. Takes his treats gently and loves it if you just rub his belly for hours. Pulls a bit on leash initially but calms down nicely. He sleeps with his 14 year old two legged foster sister, curls right next up to her. He cannot get close enough for lovin. :) Adoption Restrictions: Mandatory home visit and reference checks. Will only adopt as an only dog or with a compatible dog of the opposite sex.
