Please give Neely an chance and open your heart and home to her either as a forever home or a foster home. This sweet 3 year old girl is in need of a new home or foster home ASAP through no fault of her own. She was adopted from a local animal shelter by her daddy 2 years ago. She has lived very happily with him all this time. He is now newly married and his wife has decided she does not like Neely. Neely's main fault is wanting to be loved. Imagine that?? How very sad.... When her people come home from work she is so happy to see them she wants to shower all her love on them. She is well trained and has a repetoire of tricks which include "sit pretty", "down", "roll over" and "paw" to name a few. She makes eye contact like you would not believe and is very much a people's dog. She is a petite little girl at about 45lbs. Her pictures do not do her justice, she is much cuter in person. A lot of people looking to adopt don't give adult dogs a chance. Some of the reasons I've heard for this range from concerns that the dog will not fully bond with them to concerns that the dog will already have bad habits from it's previous life. I can say full heartedly if I were thinking of adopting another dog I would almost definitly an adult. I adopted my Zoie when she was 3 years old and I can tell you she could not be more my dog if I had her from the day she was born. As for pre-existing bad habits, while that can sometimes be a consideration there are lots of benefits to older dogs, especially one like Neely. Neely has lived in a home for the past 3 years. She is fully housebroken, does not chew, and is well trained. As her daddy says he main fault is she gets up on the couch. She is as deseving as any other dog to have a full and happy life. She is only 3 and still has many years left if someone is willing to give her a chance, but her time is limited. Her daddy's wife is not willing to keep her much longer. If someone doesn't come forward to help Neely whether by fostering her or adopting her, her daddy will bring her to a shelter, or put her to sleep! :(( As we all know shelters are full of pit bulls and it is unlikely she would make it out alive. Please don't let this happen, please open your heart to Neely and give her the forever home she so deperately needs. You will never regret it and she will love you forever for it.
