Abel is 16 months old and during his short life, he has lived with 3 different families who loved him and cared very much for him. But due to financial reasons, job reasons and relocation issues, Abel was moved around and due to his great disposition, he was fortunate enough to get placed into new homes. Abel eventually ended up with the original owner but he did not have the heart to put him in a shelter nor could he take care of him. So instead, he left him in a vacant home!The neighbors took a liking to Abel and would go over to his house 3 times per day to feed him, exercise him and give him love and attention. Unfortunately, this was not enough. Abel’s luck ran out and needed to be placed into a shelter. The neighbors that took care of Abel never gave up on him. They paid for his obedience training while at the shelter to make sure that he got off to a good start. They went to the shelter every week with toys, treats and love. Abel is very gentle and is a LOVE HOG. He gets along well with other dogs, children and people and will always look for a gentle hand to give him belly rubs. Able was rescued from the shelter and is now in a loving foster home with a two year old child and a cat. He is great with the child and we are working with him with the cat. So far, so good! The family who adopts Abel will be very fortunate to have such a wonderful, loving and kind dog to be a treasured member of their family. Adoption Restrictions: Mandatory home visit and reference checks. Will only adopt as an only dog or with a compatible dog of the opposite sex.
