URGENT FOSTER/FOREVER HOME NEEDED!!!!! Hi! My name is King! I am approximately 11 months old. My first "owner" was not nice to me. I was hit by a car, hurt my front leg very badly. I was never taken to a vet. I was wandering the streets of a MA city and I saw a woman at a park with some dogs. They looked nice, so I followed them home. Well, I picked the right woman to follow home! She rescues dogs! She rescues little doggies so she was not so sure what to do with me, so she called PittieLove Rescue after no one claimed me. Thankfully! I did not want to go back to the home where I was mistreated. He did not want me anyway and signed me right over to be re-homed. I was brought out to the rescue for a temperament evaluation (I passed with flying colors!) and then brought right away to a very nice vet who gave me all sorts of shots. What a good boy I was. The bad news was that my leg was fractured when I was hit by that car and it healed improperly. I was in a lot of pain and had trouble walking. Was given some medicine to make me feel better until I could see a specialist. I then went to the vet again where all sorts of x-rays were taken. It was determined that my badly fractured leg needed to be amputated. What a brave boy I am! Came through that procedure with no problems. The surgeon was amazed that I tried to walk right after I woke up from surgery. I am doing very well now and have no problems at all getting around. I love to play with other dogs and I am crate trained. Did I mention that I am also absolutely adorable?? :)) My foster Dad is a great guy. I get to go to work with him on construction site's. I LOVE everyone! Adoption Restrictions: Mandatory home visit and reference checks. Will only adopt as an only dog or with a compatible dog of the opposite sex.
