Meet little Eleanor or Ellie Bean as she is nicknamed. Ellie came to PittieLove with her 4 siblings (see her brother Simon also) on New Year’s Day, when the Dakin Animal Shelter contacted us for assistance. Little Ellie was the smallest of the litter and quite thin, since her arrival her health has been great although she is still a peanut! She is spayed, up to date on her distemper vaccine and worming and has been micro-chipped. Ellie will be rabies vaccinated at 16 weeks. Ellie has been living in a foster home with her brother, Simon, 3 adult pit bulls, and two teenagers in addition to his foster mom and dad. She is crate trained and almost fully housetrained. Ellie is an independent minded young pup who likes to snuggle on her terms and is full of puppy energy. She will do best in a home with teenagers or older. Ellie and Simon love to play although sometimes can get a bit over excited when playing and need to have a timeout. Ellie also does not back down right away to the adult dogs in the household. Because of these behaviors she will require an adoptive home committed to working with a trainer to help her improve her social skills with other dogs. With proper training and management, Ellie should mature into a wonderful pet. Because of the time commitment Ellie will require, we prefer to only place her in a home as an only dog so she can receive the one on one time she needs. Adoption Restrictions: Mandatory home visit and reference checks. Will only adopt as an only dog or with a compatible dog of the opposite sex. Please Apply Online Adoption Fee: $325.00.
