Hello potential family! I came from local animal control where I was found as a stray. My name is Owen and I'm the most handsome pit bull you'll ever find : ) My life had a rough start but I am making the most of my second chance and giving out as much love as I possibly can! I am fully house trained, crate trained, and I even know how to sit and give my paw. I am willing to follow just about any direction you give me if you ask nicely (and a treat never hurts!). I am not used to toys so right now my favorite play toy is a nice big stick but my foster family is introducing me to bones and lots of different toys to see what I like best. I really like playing with other dogs, especially nice ones. I am a very mellow boy so if my foster sister (a younger female pit bull) jumps on me or tries to play rough, I just look at her like the silly puppy she is and walk over to my foster parents when I am ready for her to stop. My foster parents are helping me to decide what I like and dislike. Here's what we've come up with so far... I LOVE having my belly rubbed, my ears scratched, and the top of my head rubbed. I never really spent time with cats, so I would prefer a cat-free home but I love other dogs and people of all ages! I love going for walks. Thankfully my foster mom has a comfy harness she puts on me so she can walk me easily. I am a big boy so the task might seem daunting but the minute the harness is on me, I am perfectly behaved. I don't love having baths but if you keep the water nice and warm I will stay put until it is done. After a bath I love getting dried off. I will even rub against the towel to help my foster mom dry me off quicker. Most of all, I love attention. Just hearing my foster parents say my name is enough to get my tail wagging and my body wiggling in excitement. I cannot believe how lucky I have been and I hope I am lucky enough to find my forever home.
