This wonderful pup was surrendered to us by people concerned for his welfare – they want him to go to a family that will treat him right! Their sons friend purchased this puppy, knowing he had no place to live with him. This nice couple took the pup, quite concerned about him as he was only 5 weeks old and the “breeder” refused to take him back….. They were planning to care for him until Roy was stable and the boy could take him back. Quite soon after, the novelty of “pit bull puppy” wore off to the young boys and the “friend” could “no longer be reached” Fortunately, they called us and we happened to have a pup foster open. Roy an incredibly loveable puppy – with striking good looks to boot. He is a smart cookie and is learning very quickly. He’s at the critical point in his puppyhood for socialization so he has been enjoying a lot of new experiences. He has met many people of all ages, shapes, and sizes, and he approaches them readily, butt wiggling and ears back and happy. He gets along very well with my dogs and responds appropriately to corrections from them, he’s even convinced my grumpy old lady to play run-around games with him! He has had play time with one other pup so far, and played very nicely with her, backing off immediately when she complained about his sharp puppy teeth. He has all the wonder and exuberance you want to see in a pup, he is curious about everything – and getting into everything! He came to us with a habit of pouncing on feet/shoes passing by, but has been easy to convince that finding something else to play with is a better idea. Roy is a great puppy and he’d be a joyful addition to any loving family. Adoption Restrictions: Mandatory home visit and reference checks. Will only adopt as an only dog or with a compatible dog of the opposite sex. Please Apply Online Adoption Fee: $400.00. Includes spay/neuter, microchip and all vaccinations.
