I’ve heard people debating whether they’re green or gold, and still others think they’re blue. My foster mom agrees with all of them – she says it depends on the light. In any case, the consensus is that I have be-yu-tee-ful eyes! As for my ears, well they seem to have a mind of their own… often laying across my head and pointing in the wrong direction – my foster mom says this is endearing. “Beautiful” and “endearing” – these words are too big for me to learn and remember. But I HAVE learned some words! I know “sit”, and “paw”, AND what to do when I hear them! I’m learning a new word called “down”, and I’m getting really good at that too. I even know that I have to sit and wait for my food until foster Mom says “okay”. (It would be impolite to just gobble it up.) I also have a foster sister - she’s a bigger dog - who teaches me the right things to do. I’m a really quick learner! I have a lot of energy and I love to play with my toys and go for walks. I know I would enjoy playing with the cats I’m living with, but I don’t think they like dogs… I even tried showing them my beautiful eyes and endearing ears, but it didn’t seem to help. At night I love to snuggle with my blanket in my crate (all that playing is exhausting!). I’m even getting used to being in the crate during the day when foster Mom goes to work. My previous Mom gave me to the shelter because the owner of her house wouldn’t allow her to have dogs. You guessed it – my beautiful eyes and endearing ears didn’t work on her landlord. I hope that my next home will be forever – I want to have someone to love for the rest of my life! Could that be you?
